At HealthCare Access Maryland, we pride ourselves on having a team of dedicated professionals who go above and beyond for the families and individuals we serve. Today, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Amanda Richardson, a Social Work Case Manager who has been an integral part of our team. With years of experience in the field, Amanda exemplifies the values of compassion, expertise, and dedication that are at the core of our mission.
Since joining HCAM more than five years ago, she has played a pivotal role in supporting the youth and families who rely on our services. In her role, Amanda is responsible for reviewing case notes, medical records, and collaborating with a wide range of professionals—medical and mental health providers, foster parents, and the youth themselves. Through these efforts, Amanda ensures that each case receives the tailored support needed to improve outcomes for those in care.
Amanda’s passion for her work is evident in everything she does. When asked about what drives her, she shared, “I enjoy my work, that is the best measure if something is the right fit.” For Amanda, finding fulfillment in the work she does is key to her long-term success and commitment to the field of social work. She’s not just focused on the tasks at hand but also on the positive impact she can have on the lives of the youth and families she serves.
The MATCH Program (Making All the Children Healthy) provides coordination of medical assistance (MA) benefits and health care coordination for every child connected with the Baltimore City Department of Social Services (BCDSS) foster care system. Our team of health care professionals are available to support BCDSS workers, foster families, medical providers, and behavioral health providers.
