Employee Spotlight: Morgan Alsup, New Entrant Medical Case Manager, MATCH

Meet Morgan, a dedicated New Entrant Medical Case Manager (RN) with 7 years of experience in the healthcare industry. “I wanted to become a nurse to help make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I knew nursing would allow me to work with different populations, have endless learning opportunities and there would be potential for career advancement” she shared. Morgan joined the MATCH team about six months ago and her commitment to compassionate care aligns perfectly with our mission to support our community.

The MATCH Program (Making All the Children Healthy) provides coordination of medical assistance benefits, and health care coordination for every child connected with the Baltimore City Department of Social Services (BCDSS) foster care system. Morgan emphasizes creating a smooth transition for the children and foster families. She does this by managing their medical care such as reviewing documentation, competing referrals, and scheduling appointments. Morgan is proof that organization, time management, and ambition can put you in a position to thrive.

When asked to share some advice for those who may be interested in Nursing or joining the MATCH team, Morgan shared, “My advice would be to apply! I was feeling so burnt out with nursing, now I look forward to my job. I work from home 4 out of 5 days a week and have been able to find a great work life balance. I have the best manager, which is something I did not have with previous jobs. HCAM- MATCH Program truly has made a huge impact on my life, I’m so grateful for this career!”
