HealthCare Access Maryland’s (HCAM) 2022-2023 Speaker Series continued on Wednesday, March 8th with retired broadcast journalist Jayne Miller.
This year’s Speaker Series brings a focus to “Making Maryland Healthier.” This three-part series features Maryland leaders and decision-makers discussing what makes a community healthy, and the strategies and solutions being implemented to improve the well-being of every Marylander.
HCAM was honored to have Jayne Miller join us for a conversation to discuss her perspective on what defines a healthy Baltimore and Maryland based on her 40 years of experience in journalism covering our community. The conversation addressed efforts to improve public safety and reduce violence and the changing conversation around mental health and accessibility of mental health services. Miller shared her personal experience recovering from long-COVID and the impact of COVID-19 on the workforce. Throughout the conversation, Miller shared her thoughts on the role and responsibility of media in the health of the city and state.
