We are pleased to announce that HealthCare Access Maryland’s Vice President of Operations & IT, Elsie M. Goodwin, has been selected to participate in the statewide professional development program, Leadership Maryland.
This year is a special year for Leadership Maryland as this will be the 30th class to embark on this professional development opportunity. Elsie, who is one of 53 individuals chosen for the annual class, will complete the eight-month, hands-on learning program focused on the state’s most vital issues. The program, which kicks off in April and runs through December, includes five, two-day sessions focused on Maryland’s five main geographic regions and issues impacting economic development, education, health and human services, criminal justice, the environment, and multi-culturalism/diversity across the state. Throughout the course of the program, guest speakers and panelists will share their expertise from the business, government, education, and non-profit sectors.
Elsie shares, “What an honor to be selected for such a highly regarded, diverse, enriching, and immersive program. I am equally honored to be amongst such an accomplished and dynamic class of leaders. I am looking forward to making meaningful connections with my fellow 2023 classmates, Leadership Maryland alumni, and community stakeholders to continue to foster impactful change for all Marylanders.”
Leadership Maryland brings together local leaders from all sectors, industries, and regions of the state of Maryland, and works to build a better Maryland by creating solutions for actionable change. The program is open to senior-level executives with significant achievements in either their career and/or their communities. Individuals chosen for the program are passionate about learning more about the most critical issues within the state of Maryland and are committed to being a force of positive change.
We are ecstatic for this professional development opportunity for Elsie and look forward to seeing her flourish on her journey with Leadership Maryland over the next eight months of the program. Congratulations, Elsie! The HCAM team is proud of you and your accomplishments!
