HCAM Launches a Client Assistance Fund, Rosalie’s Fund

HealthCare Access Maryland (HCAM) is thrilled to announce the launch of Rosalie’s Fund, a client assistance fund that goes beyond traditional health services by providing key resources to help HCAM clients overcome barriers to care. Rosalie’s Fund aims to assist HCAM’s clients as they navigate health care services and resources related to improving their overall health and wellbeing.

Rosalie’s fund covers unfunded services, including:

  • Transportation to medical appointments
  • Utility assistance
  • Baby care and safety supplies
  • Vital government documents
  • Health and wellness supplies

Rosalie’s Fund was created as a way for HCAM to go above and beyond for our clients in helping them to bridge the gaps in accessing care. Named in honor of Rosalie Hypolite, a dedicated staff member of HCAM for 20 years and, at the time of her passing in 2020, served as a Medicaid Representative in the Eligibility Department. Rosalie’s mission was to provide services, resources, and compassionate support to her clients and coworkers. Her warm personality and infectious smile attracted many people to her. She loved to host celebrations and holiday parties for her HCAM family, and her greatest pleasure was giving to others. Rosalie served as a first point of contact for individuals calling into HCAM for insurance services. As a Medicaid Representative, she enjoyed engaging with everyone she encountered.

Rosalie’s Fund successfully launched on November 29th, 2022 (Giving Tuesday!), and received an overwhelming response from both corporate partners and our community of supporters. A huge thank you to our founding partners: Prescott HR, LifeBridge Health, Enterprise Holdings Foundation, and Maryland Hospital Association.
