HealthCare Access Maryland (HCAM) is proud to present a 4-part Speaker Series on the “State of Healthcare in Maryland.” The Speaker Series will include events beginning in October 2021 and continuing across the next year.
HCAM’s Speaker Series brings together health experts and community members for engaging conversations on issues that impact the health of Marylanders. Each event will offer supporters the opportunity to gather, connect, and expand their understanding of critical health issues.
For the last 18 months, the healthcare system of our state has undergone significant changes and challenges as it responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. Amidst these challenges, Maryland’s healthcare system has also adapted and innovated to provide better and more equitable care.
The first installment in the Series, State of HealthCare in Maryland: Women’s Health, will be held Wednesday, October 20th at 8:30am. In this session, our expert panel will discuss the accessibility of care for women during the COVID-19 pandemic and the importance of routine, preventative, and reproductive care for women. Attendees will have the opportunity to network and learn from one another in breakout rooms before the panel discussion.
The remaining sessions of the State of Healthcare Speaker Series are being finalized and will take place in November, March, and May.
The Speaker Series will also raise critical funds to support HealthCare Access Maryland programs connecting Marylanders to health insurance coverage and care. HCAM connects over 100,000 Maryland residents to insurance and care every year. All proceeds from event registration and sponsorship will support HCAM programs as we continue our work to make Maryland healthier.
