Like many organizations and businesses, HealthCare Access Maryland (HCAM) has been actively working to develop a return-to-work strategy that ensures the health and safety of our team members and the community members we serve. From the start, we knew that we needed a partner who not only had expertise in preparing a safe office space to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but also understood our mission and commitment to making Maryland healthier. 

We turned to Acme Paper & Supply Company. A family-owned business, Acme Paper & Supply Company delivers superior service and products, resulting in creative and cost-effective distribution solutions. Based in Maryland, Acme Paper also serves clients in Philadelphia and Virginia, distributing and supplying products and services, specializing in Foodservice Packaging, Janitorial Equipment and Supplies, Restaurant Equipment, Retail Packaging, and Industrial Packaging. Founded in 1946, Acme Paper & Supply Company celebrates a milestone 75th year in operation this April. 

Supporting the Maryland community and giving back to local organizations is a top priority for Acme Paper & Supply Company. Acme Paper & Supply Company is very involved in the non-profit community, and they know the importance of supporting populations and communities that are most vulnerable. Andy Attman, Vice President of Acme Paper & Supply Company, shared that “working in the nonprofit world, our company knows that there is a level of giving back. It’s a part of our ethos. We recently donated masks to Baltimore City school teachers, as we try to help the community where we can.”  

With the help and expertise of Acme Paper & Supply Company’s staff, HCAM was able to equip our office space with protective barriers in areas where we welcome clients, personal protective equipment, hand sanitizer, disinfectants, and basic cleaning supplies, as we prepare to have staff back in our physical office space to serve our clients and community. 

This year, Acme Paper & Supply Company will also partner with HCAM as we host our three-part virtual Speaker Series, “Re-thinking Mental Health.” The event series brings together health experts and business leaders for critical conversations about addressing the mental health needs of our community, especially amid the challenges of the pandemic. Acme Paper & Supply Company joins HCAM as a sponsor to our 3rd event in the Series to be held this June, “Re-thinking Mental Health: How Businesses Can Support Working Parents and Caregivers.” Stay tuned for an invitation and registration details!
