HCAM Board Room to be Dedicated in Honor of Long-Serving Congressman
BALTIMORE, MD – HealthCare Access Maryland (HCAM), a statewide nonprofit organization, will honor Rep. Elijah E. Cummings (Md-7th) for his lifetime of work to expand access to high-quality health care and make it more affordable for all Americans.
HCAM will dedicate its board room in its downtown Baltimore office in honor of Congressman Elijah E. Cummings during a ceremony after its first board of directors meeting in their new space and open house on October 18, 2018.
“Congressman Cummings has been a great leader and eloquent spokesman for ensuring that all Americans have access to affordable health care, and we’re proud to permanently recognize his work by dedicating our board room in his honor,” said Traci Kodeck, HCAM president and CEO. “He helped enact the Affordable Care Act, which led to millions of Americans obtaining affordable health insurance, and he has worked to resist the ongoing efforts to dismantle the law.”
“I am extremely proud and grateful that HCAM has chosen to honor my work in Congress to expand and protect health care,” said Rep. Cummings. “HCAM is a Maryland leader in helping people – especially low-income people – obtain insurance and navigate a sometimes-confusing health care landscape. They do important work, and I consider the organization a great partner.”
