BALTIMORE, MD (Friday, June 5, 2015)—HealthCare Access Maryland (HCAM) was reaccredited by the Standards for Excellence Institute and received the valued Seal of Excellence for the third time.
HCAM earned the seal after a peer review team examined HCAM policies and practices for compliance with the Standards for Excellence®: An Ethics and Accountability Code for the Nonprofit Sector in the areas of Mission, Strategy and Evaluation; Leadership: Board, Staff, and Volunteers; Legal Compliance and Ethics; Finance and Operations; Resource Development; and Public Awareness, Engagement, and Advocacy.
Kathleen Westcoat, CEO and President of HealthCare Access Maryland, said, “HCAM is honored to have been re-certified for the Standards of Excellence Program. Our staff continues to work diligently to uphold the Seal of Excellence by demonstrating a high level of ethics and being held accountable for achieving results. The Standards of Excellence Program has helped HCAM build a solid foundation and infrastructure, which has prepared us for the enormous changes we are facing in the ever-changing health care world.”
HealthCare Access Maryland has been operating under the Seal of Excellence continuously since 2006.
