BALTIMORE (Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015)—Kathleen L. Westcoat, president and CEO of HealthCare Access Maryland, has been chosen to participate in Leadership Maryland, the professional development program dedicated to building a stronger Maryland by educating, cultivating, and connecting a diverse group of the state’s most accomplished leaders. Westcoat is one of 50 Maryland leaders chosen for Leadership Maryland’s Class of 2015, its 23rd class. Westcoat will complete an eight-month hands-on learning program focused on the state’s most pressing social, economic and environmental issues.
“This intensive learning opportunity will help HealthCare Access Maryland bring our vital outreach and connection services to the next level,” Westcoat said. “Exposure to the some of the state’s most respected thinkers and practitioners will ensure that our programs are smart, efficient, and scalable.”
HealthCare Access Maryland is a nonprofit agency working to make equal access to health care a reality for all Marylanders and to eliminate disparities in health outcomes based on income or race.
